ActiveSkin is an ActiveX component that allows you to completely change the appearance of your project's forms or dialogs.
It provides developers with full-featured support for 'application skins', or a custom 'application look and feel'. ActiveSkin makes it easy to create programs with visually stunning, fully interactive user interfaces. The interfaces can even be created or edited directly at runtime. With ActiveSkin you could make your program look exactly like it was from another operating system, or create your own user WinAmp-like 'skinned' interfaces, or just give it a different, distinctive look.
ActiveSkin supports features such as nonrectangular windows with dynamic or animated shapes, any style of window caption, frames, distinct client and non-client areas, translucent forms and components, soft shadows, animation, morphing, a powerful script language, remote skin download via URLs, the ability to build any number of the skins directly into the application executable, the ability to import any of the thousands of currently available WinAMP skins, a collection of easy-to-use 'skinned' controls (buttons, popups, panels, and labels) and many more.
The ActiveSkin package also includes a selection of free skins, designed by professionals, as well as the 'SkinBuilder' application, a visual skin editor that can be used to easily modify, preview or create skins. |
