For large offices that have their own custom AutoCAD menu, Menu Update helps simplify the distribution of menu changes to all users. If everyone uses the menu files directly from a shared location, you cannot change the master menu file, because the files are locked. Instead, place copies of the menu on each workstation, then edit the master without conflict. Each time a user logs on, Menu Update will check for changes to the master menu and can update the workstation to the latest version. Menu Update then sits in the tray allowing users to for updates anytime during their logon session (great for mid-day menu changes). Setup is greatly simplified. Installed versions of AutoCAD and the name of the current menu being used are automatically detected. The standard file extensions are added by default, with flexibility to add any number of file extensions in the future. |
