Rack 'Em might be the most addictive solitaire game since Free Cell and Tetris. It's a logic game where the goal of each puzzle is to position like-numbered pool balls into diagonal, horizontal, or vertical rows of three on the pool table. Sound easy? Wait until you hear some of the rules! Each pool ball can only be moved once per puzzle and you can only move two balls out of the three-ball set. This means that you can't just shuffle balls around until you find the right position - you have to logically consider each pool ball's movement and its consequences to the other balls on the board. Once the two balls out of the set are moved, the third ball becomes fixed so if you haven't already lined up the balls in the set, you lose. Each ball in the like-numbered set doesn't have to be moved about at the same time. In fact, you will often have to skip over to position other sets before a particular set can be put in line. Completely lost? Rack 'Em provides hints and playing tips, and even allows you to undo your last move if you find you've made a mistake. Rack 'Em rewards you with the satisfying sound of pool balls cracking when you successfully position a set and let's you know when you are trying to make a wrong move. When you win, the game automatically advances you to the next puzzle. The registered version of this game comes complete over a million different fun, mind-boggling puzzles to keep your brain occupied for hours. |
