A.I. Wars - The Insect Mind lets you program artificially intelligent robots and then test their logic in battle. A.I. Wars uses an easy to learn, but hard to master, A.I. command language that allows you to script out every possible decision for your unit. It challenges your logic skills and helps you develop programming skills even if you have never programmed before. Once you feel that your A.I. program is ready, you can send it into battle to see if it can survive. A.I. Wars comes with several battle arenas and the registered version includes a map editor for endless battle possibilities. The A.I. Units come fully loaded with scanners, shields, sensors, energy cells, friend or foe beacons, mines, fuel, ammo, missiles and even a self-destruct mechanism for those really sticky situations. The A.I. files that you create can be password protected and saved as encrypted ASCII text files. This makes it easy to trade your A.I. files with other players via e-mail, WWW, FTP, etc. The author encourages tournaments using A.I. Wars and has a page setup on his web site to allow users to post their A.I. files. New to this version is a complete graphics and engine upgrade, a camera that can follow one specific A.I. unit, and 2000 line AI files are now possible. |
