CPOP is a Mail server and email checker that uses the POP3 protocol. CPOP is an application written in Visual Basic 6.0. CPOP collects your emails from your Internet suppliers and saves them locally on your disc. Afterwards, you can retrieve your messages using your email software such as Outlook Express. I developed this software in order to solve an email problem I had at home. I had three email addresses from three different Internet providers. I had 5 aliases on one of my ISPs (Internet Service Provider). Every member of my family had an alias. When I downloaded my emails from the ISP, I got all the emails intended for my account. It was impossible to download only my messages. CPOP allows me to put in a mailbox all the emails that have no addressee. These emails are usually advertisements. With the CPOP software, you will possess a true email account. At the same time it can eliminate unwanted mail such as advertisement (SPAM). Furthermore, if desired, all your emails can be placed in an archive folder. CPOP collects your emails on regular intervals from your various accounts at your different Internet providers. Once it has recuperated your emails, it forwards them to the right local mailbox. These mailboxes are administered by CPOP. For example, while reading an email at JoeInternet (ISP), CPOP retrieves all the emails and identifies the addressees (alias). Once identified, the emails are sent to the right mailboxes. For example, when an addressee retrieves his or hers emails using Outlook Express, CPOP is actually the one sending the emails. The CPOP software was tested using Outlook Express (6.0) and everything works perfectly. The demo version is fully functional and available. It remains active approximately 30 minutes. After this time, you have to reactivate CPOP. |
