IPSentry continuously monitors all of your Internet and Intranet TCP/IP services and can notify you in the event of a failure. This ensures that your email servers, Web site, FTP server, news server, and all other TCP/IP services are responding correctly. It tracks statistics and allows you to define scheduled down times which IPSentry should ignore. In the event of failure, IPSentry can notify you via several different methods, including e-mail, numeric or alphanumeric pager via modem, an audible alert, or by running external commands. It runs as either a desktop application or as a service under NT and you can monitor it remotely via Telnet. Other features of IPSentry include: the ability to monitor disk space, NT service monitoring, and 'reverse' monitoring (which alerts you when a system is online). |
