You don’t have to plan sex around a pill
You take 1 tablet once a day at about the same time every day, so you can be ready anytime the moment is right*—no matter when that might be. With CIALIS for daily use, men with ED can be more confident in their ability to be ready.
*Individual results may vary. Not studied for multiple attempts per dose.
How soon can I see results?
CIALIS for daily use should be taken once a day, every day at about the same time. Avoid skipping doses and do not split tablets.* It may take up to 4 to 5 days before CIALIS for daily use may start to work for your ED and you are able to have successful intercourse, or you may get results earlier. If you are not satisfied with the results, talk to your doctor or healthcare provider, who may recommend an adjustment to your CIALIS dosage.
*The impact of a missed day of therapy has not been studied, but impact on efficacy is likely to vary by patient. Some patients may notice reduced efficacy from missing a single dose, while others may not.
CIALIS for daily use for ED is available in 2 doses as 2.5 mg and 5 mg tablets
Your healthcare provider may start you on one dose and then adjust it, depending on how your body responds to the medicine. Both doses have been approved for men, whether their ED is mild, moderate, or severe. The recommended starting dose of CIALIS for daily use for the treatment of ED is 2.5 mg.
Do not take CIALIS for daily use more than one time each day, and do not take 36-hour CIALIS*† for use as needed or any other ED treatments while taking CIALIS for daily use. Taking an amount other than the dose prescribed can be dangerous, ineffective, or both.

†In clinical trials, 36-hour CIALIS taken as needed was shown to improve, up to 36 hours after dosing, the ability of men with ED to have a single successful intercourse attempt.
The most important information you should know about CIALIS
CIALIS can cause your blood pressure to drop suddenly to an unsafe level if it is taken with certain other medicines. You could get dizzy, faint, or have a heart attack or stroke.
Do not take CIALIS if you take any medicines called "nitrates." Nitrates are commonly used to treat angina. Angina is a symptom of heart disease and can cause pain in your chest, jaw, or down your arm.
Medicines called nitrates include nitroglycerin that is found in tablets, sprays, ointments, pastes, or patches. Nitrates can also be found in other medicines such as isosorbide dinitrate or isosorbide mononitrate. Some recreational drugs called “poppers” also contain nitrates, such as amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite
Ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist if you are not sure if any of your medicines are nitrates (See Who should not take CIALIS?)
Tell all of your healthcare providers that you take CIALIS. If you need emergency medical care for a heart problem, it is important for your healthcare provider to know when you last took CIALIS.
After taking a single tablet, some of the active ingredient of CIALIS remains in your body for more than 2 days. The active ingredient can remain longer if you have problems with your kidneys or liver, or you are taking certain other medications.
Stop sexual activity and get medical help right away if you get symptoms such as chest pain, dizziness, or nausea during sex. Sexual activity can put an extra strain on your heart, especially if your heart is already weak from a heart attack or heart disease. (See What are the possible side effects of CIALIS?)
Do not take CIALIS if you:
Take any medicines called "nitrates"
Use recreational drugs called "poppers" like amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite (See What is the most important information I should know about CIALIS?)
Are allergic to CIALIS or ADCIRCA® (tadalafil), or any of its ingredients. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include:
Rash
Hives
Swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat
Difficulty breathing or swallowing
Call your healthcare provider or get help right away if you have any of the symptoms of an allergic reaction listed above.
Information about other medicines that can affect CIALIS
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. CIALIS and other medicines may affect each other. Always check with your healthcare provider before starting or stopping any medicines. Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take any of the following*:
Medicines called nitrates (See What is the most important information I should know about CIALIS?)
Medicines called alpha-blockers. These include Hytrin® (terazosin HCl), Flomax® (tamsulosin HCl), Cardura® (doxazosin mesylate), Minipress® (prazosin HCl), Uroxatral® (alfuzosin HCl), Jalyn® (dutasteride and tamsulosin HCl), and Rapaflo® (silodosin). Alpha-blockers are sometimes prescribed for prostate problems or high blood pressure. If CIALIS is taken with certain alpha-blockers, your blood pressure could suddenly drop. You could get dizzy or faint
Other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension)
Medicines called human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) protease inhibitors, such as ritonavir (Norvir®) or lopinavir/ritonavir (Kaletra®)
Some types of oral antifungals such as ketoconazole (Nizoral®) or itraconazole (Sporanox®)
Some types of antibiotics such as clarithromycin (Biaxin®), telithromycin (Ketek®), erythromycin (several brand names exist; please consult your healthcare provider to determine if you are taking this medicine)
Other medicines or treatments for ED
CIALIS is also marketed as ADCIRCA for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Do not take both CIALIS and ADCIRCA. Do not take sildenafil citrate (Revatio®) with CIALIS

How to take CIALIS for daily use (2.5 mg, 5 mg) for ED
Take CIALIS exactly as your healthcare provider prescribes it. Your healthcare provider will prescribe the dose that is right for you. Do not take CIALIS more than one time each day
CIALIS for daily use should be taken once a day, every day at about the same time. Avoid skipping doses and do not split tablets*
If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. However, do not take CIALIS more than one time each day
Some men can only take a low dose of CIALIS or may have to take it less often, because of medical conditions or medicines they take
Do not change your dose or the way you take CIALIS without talking to your healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider may lower or raise your dose, depending on how your body reacts to CIALIS and your health condition
CIALIS may be taken with or without meals
If you take too much CIALIS, call your healthcare provider or emergency room right away
Some form of sexual stimulation is needed for an erection to happen with CIALIS

What to avoid when taking CIALIS
Do not use other ED medicines or ED treatments while taking CIALIS
Avoid drinking too much alcohol (for example, 5 glasses of wine or 5 shots of whiskey) when you take CIALIS. Drinking too much alcohol may cause a headache or dizziness, an increase in your heart rate, or a drop in your blood pressure
Do not split CIALIS tablets. CIALIS tablets are not scored down the middle, so you may not be able to break one exactly in half. If a CIALIS tablet is not split exactly in half, you may not receive an adequate dose or you may receive a larger dose than you need. If you do not get the proper dose, you may not get the results you are hoping for
Tips for remembering to take CIALIS for daily use (2.5 mg, 5 mg) for ED
The following suggestions may help you remember to take your CIALIS for daily use for ED every day. You can use any of these tips, or find your own personal way to remember to take your CIALIS for daily use, so that you can be ready anytime the moment is right.*†

Make it a part of your routine — Take your CIALIS for daily use with your favorite morning beverage or evening meal.
Keep track of your daily dose — When you receive your CIALIS for daily use at the pharmacy, your pharmacist may give you CIALIS packaged in a blister pack with the days of the week printed on the back to make it easier to know if you missed a dose. If your pharmacist dispenses the tablets in a bottle instead, you can mark the calendar to help you remember that you've taken your CIALIS. Do not take CIALIS more than one time each day.
Keep your CIALIS in a convenient spot — It's understandable that you may not want to leave your CIALIS out in plain view for everyone to see, but you should find a location within your home that is a convenient place for you to take your medication every day. Always store CIALIS in its original package at room temperature, between 59°F and 86°F (15°C and 30°C), and keep CIALIS and all medicines out of the reach of children. Try keeping CIALIS:
In your nightstand
In your dresser
Inside your grooming kit
Take it with you when you travel — When you're away from home, store your CIALIS for daily use in your grooming kit. That way, when you brush your teeth in the morning or before bed, you'll remember to take it. The grooming kit should not be stored in a bathroom if it does not meet the room temperature requirements.
Mark your calendar — Make a small "x" on the day's date as soon as you take CIALIS for daily use to help remind you that you took it.
Be a techie — You can add notes or set a reminder on your mobile phone to alert you when it is time to take your CIALIS.
Don't wait until the last minute to get a refill — Plan ahead so that you won't miss a dose of CIALIS for daily use.
Sign up for refill notices — If your local pharmacy offers a prescription reminder program, you can receive notices when it's time to pick up your next refill.

What Is The Most Important Information I Should Know About CIALIS?
Do not take CIALIS if you:
take medicines called “nitrates” such as isosorbide dinitrate or isosorbide mononitrate which are often prescribed for chest pain as the combination may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure
use recreational drugs called “poppers” like amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite
are allergic to CIALIS or ADCIRCA® (tadalafil), or any of its ingredients. Call your healthcare provider or get help right away if you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as rash, hives, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing or swallowing
After taking a single tablet, some of the active ingredient of CIALIS remains in your body for more than 2 days. The active ingredient can remain longer if you have problems with your kidneys or liver, or you are taking certain other medications.

What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider Before Taking CIALIS?
CIALIS is not right for everyone. Only your healthcare provider and you can decide if CIALIS is right for you. Ask your healthcare provider if your heart is healthy enough for you to have sexual activity. You should not take CIALIS if your healthcare provider has told you not to have sexual activity because of your health problems. Before taking CIALIS, tell your healthcare provider about all your medical problems, particularly if you have or ever had:
heart problems such as chest pain (angina), heart failure, irregular heartbeats, or have had a heart attack
high or low blood pressure or have high blood pressure that is not controlled
stroke
liver or kidney problems or require dialysis
retinitis pigmentosa, a rare genetic (runs in families) eye disease
severe vision loss, including a condition called NAION
stomach ulcers or a bleeding problem
a deformed penis shape or Peyronie's disease
an erection that lasted more than 4 hours
blood cell problems such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
Can Other Medicines Affect CIALIS?
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take especially if you take:
medicines called “nitrates” which are often prescribed for chest pain
alpha-blockers often prescribed for prostate problems
blood pressure medications
medicines for HIV or some types of oral antifungal medications
some types of antibiotics such as clarithromycin, telithromycin, erythromycin (several brand names exist, please contact your healthcare provider to determine if you are taking this medicine)
other medicines or treatments for erectile dysfunction (ED)
CIALIS is also marketed as ADCIRCA for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Do not take both CIALIS and ADCIRCA. Do not take sildenafil citrate (Revatio®)* with CIALIS.

Call your healthcare provider if you get any side effect that bothers you or one that does not go away.
Uncommon but serious side effects include:
An erection that won't go away: If you get an erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help to avoid long-term injury.
In rare instances, men taking prescription ED tablets, including CIALIS, reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision or hearing (sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness). It's not possible to determine if these events are related directly to the ED tablets or to other factors. If you have a sudden decrease or loss of vision or hearing, stop taking any ED tablet, including CIALIS and call a healthcare provider right away.

CIALIS does not:
cure ED
increase a man’s sexual desire
protect a man or his partner from sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV
